B.W.A.P. is an all-inclusive after-school program dedicated to helping children develop social, academic and life skills through a range of activities.
The program, which is FREE to all who participate, runs from 2:45PM - 6:00PM on school days and is funded through a four-year grant from the North Carolina Community Learning Centers grant program.
Parents of Lee County children GRADES 3 through 8 will have a new option for no-cost after-school care. We help students in in academics, specifically math and reading. We help them with their homework. We have dance classes, cooking classes, and music classes. We do arts and crafts, and we have a robtotics program called STEM with Caterpillar. We will also take kids on field trips, both in and out of state.
Our goal is to see suspensions go down, grades go up, and kids feeling good about school. No kid ever starts school expecting to drop out. You never talk to a kindergartner who doesn't have high expectations. The more we can keep kids in school, the more successful they will be.
If you are in need of an application for your 3rd through 8th grade student, don't hesitate to call the office, (919) 774-0500 or stop by, 610 E. Main Street Sanford, NC 27330. We would love to see you and have the opportunity to enrich your child's life.
